SUSTAINABILITY
At RSA, we prioritise the importance of the environment whilst running an effective manufacturing operation. Our intentions and actions are on the right direction towards a sustainable future. A few of our actions to support this statement are:
Designing Lightweight Vehicles in Order to Make it More Economical
Lightweight vehicles allow for easier acceleration thus improving fuel consumption and decreasing greenhouse gas emissions over a long period of time. A slight reduction in vehicle weight of 10% can improve fuel efficiency by 6-8%.
Shifting to Metal Water Bottles
The governments of Kenya and Tanzania have enforced a ban of single use plastic due to the increased pollution in national parks, thus encouraging clients to invest in metal water bottles for customers. Cup holders in all RSA vehicles are designed accordingly to perfectly fit water bottles therefore preventing them from damage and ensuring long term durability.
Reusing Metal Sheets During Production
As a front-end recycler within RSA's production facilities, we optimize the use of residual space on metal sheets. By strategically cutting smaller components from leftover material, we enhance material utilisation and space efficiency, thereby significantly reducing both waste and excess material.
Working Towards Building Electric Safari Vehicles to Support A Cleaner Fuel Alternative
Creating a sustainable future is a vital goal for each individual and for RSA. Burning of fossil fuels is the largest contributor to climate change, the constant fight against our diminishing environment is in the hands of humans. RSA have taken the initiative to test and trial electric safari vehicles, hoping to provide them for sale in the near future in order to support a cleaner future and a cleaner fuel alternative.
